We are pleased to introduce...
HCM’s three new staff members!
You read that right, three new staff members are joining the Hart Cluett Museum team and we couldn't be more excited to have them on board. See below to “meet” them!
Amanda IrwiN | Deputy director
Before coming to the Hart Cluett Museum, Amanda held roles in human services and the performing arts, gaining expertise in daily nonprofit management, community engagement, and development processes. With over seven years of nonprofit experience, Amanda is committed to helping organizations best serve their communities with programming that is sustainable and effective. When asked what excites her most about her new position with the Museum, Amanda said, "I'm eager to support and expand the vision of recognizing every face and every story within our local history, and welcome our community to see themselves as the connection between the past and today."
Anna Doren | education director
Anna is thrilled to join the team at the Hart Cluett Museum! She most recently worked in the education department at the New York State Museum and has a love of engaging the public in learning about history. Anna studied History and Anthropology at Hartwick College and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Adolescent Education at the College of Saint Rose.
Elliot Gnirrep | Curatorial Assistant
Elliot recently graduated from the Masters of Information Science program at SUNY Albany where he concentrated in Archives & Records Management. During his last semester, he interned at the Hart Cluett Museum where he assisted with exhibit curation and completed processing projects, working with a variety of materials from paper records to larger objects. One of his favorite collections to work with was the James Irving collection which featured daguerreotypes, tintypes, and other photographs of Troy in the 19th century. While he is most passionate about Troy, discovering the historical charm of the towns and villages of Rensselaer County has been a delightful experience during his time at the Hart Cluett Museum. In his free time Elliot enjoys exploring the eateries of Troy, practicing yoga, and hanging out with his cat, Tootsie.
