The Hart Cluett Museum will be closed for the season starting on December 22, 2024. Our galleries will reopen and public tours will restart in April!

Group Visits and Field Trips are still available, please contact us to schedule a visit!

The Museum and Research Library are closed Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veteran’s Day, and Thanksgiving weekend.

RESEARCH LIBRARY

Thursday | 12:30pm, 3pm, evenings
Friday | 12:30pm, 3pm
Saturday | 12:30pm, 3pm

Admission to the Research Library is by appointment only.

Historic House

Re-opening in April 2025

Guided Hart-Cluett House Tours are available on Fridays, 3 - 4pm, and Saturdays, 2 - 3pm.

Tours include admission to the Exhibit Galleries.

Admission

Pay What You Wish Suggested Ticket Pricing: $10/Adult, free for students with ID and children 18 and under

Cash or card payments accepted in the museum shop. Walking Tours and House Tours include admission to the museum.

Your ticket purchase helps support our mission of recognizing every face and every story in Rensselaer County!

Members receive free admission. Join us today!

Accessibility

The museum has a handicap access ramp and accessible restroom facilities. An elevator is available to reach the library and other areas of the museum. Due to the age of the facilities, not all areas are accessible.

Please call ahead to discuss your accessibility needs.

Private Group Tours

We offer private group tours of the Hart-Cluett House and walking tours on a variety of topics! Email adoren@hartcluett.org at least 3 weeks prior to your tour date for scheduling and pricing.

Both metered and free street parking as well as parking garages are available throughout downtown Troy.

Health & safety

Masks are highly recommended to be worn by visitors and researchers at all times while at HCM, but are not required. Hand sanitizer stations are provided throughout the Museum.
