Guided Tours of the Hart-Cluett House

Upstairs/Downstairs:
The Servants of the Hart-Cluett House

A well run house was critical when as many as 8 children, 3 adults and up to 7 servants living under one roof. We will look at the role of the housekeeping staff, from the cook to the coachman, the house operated like a well-oiled machine. As we tour all three floors of the Hart Cluett House we will experience the leg work and muscle power it took to navigate this large townhouse and see the tools and equipment used by the servants in the house.
