Education has played a significant role in the growth of the City of Troy since the late 18th century. This tour will explore the many types of schools that have called Troy home, including the Troy Female Seminary, the William Rich School and the Troy Academy. We will discuss Emma Willard, Amos Eaton, William Rich and others who are still nationally recognized for their forward thinking views on education.
