Troy was a hotbed of abolitionist activity in the 19th century. This walking tour will highlight the sights associated with the African American Community in the first half of the 19th century. Featured are sites associated with the African Female Benevolent Society, The Baltimore Family, and the rescue of the escaped freedom seeker, Charles Nalle.
