This main gallery exhibit will examine from 100 and 50 years the events, issues and impacts of the Great War and the Vietnam conflict on residents of Troy and Rensselaer County. Using objects and images from the permanent collections, the exhibit will look at woman suffrage, the ERA movement, pacifism and antiwar movements, the role of social programs and technology in response to these two wars. How we memorialize events like this that happen far away but impact people for years to come will also be examined. Related programing (tours, lectures, etc) is being developed for this exhibit to take place during the year.
