Special thanks to The Sanctuary for Independent Media for the decorations, and for their awesome in-progress showcase of Echoes from Lock One, an interdisciplinary media project highlighting the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal.  Created by Youth Media Sanctuary producers in The Sanctuary for Independent Media's "Uptown Summer 2017" program, stories intertwine art and science to connect history and heritage with contemporary life. In collaboration with RCHS, Echoes from Lock One transforms negative stereotypes of our economically disadvantaged and environmentally devastated neighborhood of North Troy into compelling messages of hope and transformation.
