From the Director

It's astounding to realize that it has been almost a full year since I began my tenure at the museum. During that time, the museum had several staffing changes, hosted filming for HBO's The Gilded Age, and continued to offer great programs and events despite the many uncertainties caused by the ongoing pandemic. It was difficult but together, we made it through!

While I anticipate continued challenges, I have no doubt that our community will step up to support the museum and help it thrive. You can help ensure the successful future of the museum by helping to spread the word about our programs and you will have a lot to say! This year, Kathy Sheehan is offering several new fascinating walking tours while Samantha Mahoski is working on a great new exhibition focused on stories about people, the land, and food. Kathleen Prue and Andrew Hewitt are collaborating to enhance the gift shop and the visitor experience and our amazing crew of talented volunteers continue to provide research services while making our collections more accessible. We also are very excited to see the Rising Leaders Program revived now that we can safely gather together again.

You can learn more about what is happening at the museum during Troy Night Out on March 25th and by visiting our website. We will continue to add new programs as the season progresses.

See you soon!
