Have you heard the news around town, Troy?! RCHS’s very own Kathy Sheehan and Stacy Pomeroy Draper have both won ‘Sammy Spirit Awards’ for 2019, and we are SO proud of them!!

From The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District’s announcement:

Kathy T. Sheehan is the Registrar and Volunteer Coordinator for the Rensselaer County Historical Society and serves as the Rensselear County and Troy City Historian. She has served the community through her infinite research and knowledge, and shares our impressive history with community members and visitors. She invites new generations to experience the stories of the past and engage in the history of those that came before.

Stacy Pomeroy Draper is the curator at the Rensselaer County Historical Society and has worked there since 1978. She curates engaging ways for the community and visitors to learn about our history both inside the historical societies walls, and outside. She is the co-author of The Marble House In Second Street, Biography of a Townhouse and Occupants, 1825 - 2000, and shares her immense knowledge with new generations.
