National Museum of African American History & Culture
Through the Smithsonian's Open Access Initiative, images of objects from the National museum of African American History & Culture collection are now available to view, download, and share.
National Education Association
To help integrate Black History Month into the classroom, the National Education Association offers a selection of lesson plans that cover a variety subjects and that can be adapted to fit multiple grade levels.
Every February during Black History Month and throughout the year, the National Park Service and their partners share stories, rich culture, and an invitation for all Americans to reflect on Black history in parks and communities across the country.
The National Archives holds a wealth of material documenting the African American experience and highlights these resources online, in programs, and through traditional and social media. In recognition of Black History Month, the New York State Museum is offering educational resources and programs for classroom teachers, educators, and the public from our collections, exhibits, and research.
This digital database of thousands of newspapers from around the country includes 19th and 20th Century Troy newspapers as well as archives of over 1,000 New York newspapers, along with collections from other states and Canada.
