Educating the Hart and Cluett Families

From the Troy Female Seminary to Mrs. O’Kill’s boarding school in New York City, education has played an important role in the development of the 22 children that lived in the house. Drawing on the Hart Papers and Amanda Cluett’s diary we will look at education in the 19th and early 20th century.
